Mia is by women, about women and for women. Our full-color print magazine is published quarterly and distributed throughout Oklahoma and beyond. Real-life stories about relationships, art, heritage, health, hometown memories, and other issues are intertwined with women sharing their travel experiences, book reflections, and blog posts. The magazine is also a forum where women can show their creative side – with poetry, photography and other art forms. Mia is more than just a magazine; it’s a community where women can share their life experiences, and learn from one another. Mia is your magazine.

They had a complicated relationship, and the woman was sharing some of the sorrow she felt for not being there for her sister in their adult years. Somewhere in the midst of her story, it crossed my mind that I might have left my cell phone in the car. It was a flash thought, but it turned my mind from the story to wondering if I should interrupt her to dig through my purse. Would that be rude? I gave an occasional nod as the woman continued talking, but mentally I was frantically trying to track down my phone. I kept nodding, but I was hearing almost nothing she was saying.
